Operator Requirements

Each applicant must meet the following minimum requirements:
  1. Applicants must be knowledgeable and have at least two years of experience in the operation of a food service unit and the business of dispensing products to be sold from that equipment.

  2. Applicant must realize and accept responsibility for the overall costs and/or policies associated with installing and operating a food service business, including but not limited to:

    • Product and employee costs
    • Equipment costs
    • Licensing and permit fees, including federal, state, and local
    • Sewage pipe or electrical outlet installation as required by the city zoning or city/county health department
    • Food service unit owner, family members, and/or employees cannot currently be employed where the food service unit is placed and operating.
